Derwent Valley celebrates Youth Week 2024

There is a full week of activities for young people in the Derwent Valley during Youth Week 8 April - 14 April.

Youth Week is being held from Monday 8th until Sunday 14th April 2024.

This year's theme is 'Commnuity Connection. Our Community.  Our Voice'.

There’s a full program of local activities that are free for young people, their families, and supporters.

Multiple organisations are involved across different locations. Youth will have opportunities to share their ideas on some important local issues that affect them.

Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th | 2.45pm-4.30pm: pancakes at Fairview Park

Wednesday 10th: Schools activities

Thursday 11th | 2.45pm-5.15pm: Have your say on skate park masterplan, Council's draft youth strategy, and youth services in the valley. Plus have-a-try sports, games, free food, icecream, crafts and more at New Norfolk skatepark (Ellis Dean Reserve - Blair St)

Friday 12th | 7pm: indoor move night “Wonka” at Westerway Primary School

Saturday 13th | 6pm: outdoor movie night “League of Superpets” at Arthurs Square

Sunday 14th | 10am-3pm: street, stencil and digital art at Community House
