Ceremony
Council will receive notification from the Department of Home Affairs advising of successful applicants awaiting a citizenship ceremony.
Council will then send a letter to successful applicants advising them of the date and time for their citizenship ceremony. The ceremony takes approximately 30 minutes. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
During your Australian Citizenship ceremony you will be asked to make a Pledge of Commitment in English. This Pledge is available in written form and provided to the candidate at the time of the ceremony.
