The Historical Information Centre is open on Thursdays (except in late December and early January) from 1:30pm - 4:00pm and on the last Saturday of the month (except in December) from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.

Enquiries and donations can be made outside of these times with Ruth Binny on 0412 872 205.

The centre has the facilities to conduct historical searches including searching burial records and can provide clients with written reports.

It features displays of historical artefacts and information, including photographs, which are sometimes mounted at select functions within the Derwent Valley community.

Several local historical publications are available for purchase from the New Norfolk Newsagency located in High St, including the following HIC publications:

Derwent Echo Newsletter

The centre also produces The Derwent Echo, an occasional newsletter, mostly published twice or three times a year, generally featuring at least some articles of relevance to the Valley.
