Ideally located adjacent to the Derwent River with the open space and ambiance of the Esplanade parkland. A shared walking and cycling track leads to the award winning Tynwald Park via the wetland. All this makes the pool suitable for all types of competition and other activities.

This 55-yard (50.3m), six lanes Pool was officially opened on 22 December 1963 with a young Dawn Fraser swimming a lap of honour.
