To reduce the number of face-to-face interactions with the community and protect our staff and their ability to carry out ongoing essential services, the Derwent Valley Council Offices are closed to the public until further notice.

Please be assured we are closing our doors only, not our services. We can still assist you over the phone or email, or in some circumstances, by appointment.

This information includes support available to individuals, business and community organisations including grant funding and mental health support and where to access further information around the pandemic and Council services.

Rates payments are payable at the beginning of each financial year.  Instalments are due on a quarterly basis.

1st Instalment On or before the 30th day after the issue of the rates notice or the 30th August 2019 (whichever is the later).

2nd Instalment 31 October 2019

3rd Instalment 31 January 2020

4th Instalment  30 March 2020

Change of Address

If your current address is different from the address on your rates notice, please advise the Revenue Officer in writing immediately, Derwent Valley Council, PO Box 595, New Norfolk Tas 7140.
