New Norfolk Sports Centre
From January 2024, The New Norfolk Sports Centre is available to hire out to Community and Sporting Groups.
Spaces available to hire include:
- Basketball Court
- Netball Court
- Community Space (ideal for group activities or classes)
Council have adopted the below fees for hire of the Centre:
- $20 per hour for Basketball/Netball Court
- $20 per hour for Community Space
- $120 day hire of the Centre
A security bond fee may be payable at the time of hire. Please refer to our fees and charges register for these fees.
If you would like to book the facility, please complete a booking application form and provide it, along with a copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate, in person to our customer service desk or email to dvcouncil@dvc.tas.gov,au

Is there equipment at the Sports Centre to use?
No. If you require to use sporting equipment (netballs/basketballs etc.) please ensure that you bring your own. Netball and basketball rings are at the Centre for use.
How do I get access to the building?
Upon confirmation of your application to hire the Sports Centre, you will receive access codes for both the front door and the alarm to the building.
What insurance do I need to book the Centre?
Public Liability Insurance is a requirement when hiring the Sports Centre.
Do I need to pay a bond?
In some instances, there is a $287 bond when hiring the Sports Centre. Following your event or activity, and after inspection, the bond will be returned via electronic funds transfer (EFT).
