Community Grants Recipients
- Bushy Park Show Society - $4,500 for a new lawn mower for upkeep of the showgrounds.
- Circle Art Jam - $1,901 to deliver digital art workshops for young people in the Derwent Valley.
- Derwent Valley and Central Highlands Tourism Association - $996 for the purchase of AV equipment.
- Derwent Valley Horse Riders Association - $6,000 for the installation of a cross-country obstacle course.
- Derwent Valley Players - $1,800 for the purchase of sound equipment.
- Detrash Derwent - $860 for clean-up and PPE equipment for their activities.
- The German Shepherd Dog Club - $2443 for the purchase of clubhouse and event materials.
- Granton Hall - $3000 for installation of a heat pump for the hall supper room.
About this grant
The Community Grants program provides grants for community organisations and groups located in and/or directly benefiting residents within the Derwent Valley.
This could include:
- community projects
- health and wellbeing projects and initiatives
- environmental projects and initiatives
- asset purchases which will enhance the functions of the community group/organisation within the Derwent Valley
- initiatives that encourage wider use of/improving access to community facilities.
How to apply
The next Community Grants round is expected to launch in July 2024. In the meantime you can start preparing now by planning your project.

Grant Acquittals
Recipients of Grants are required to complete an acquittal form within 6 weeks of project completion.
Organisations or groups that have been successful in receiving a grant are unable to apply for another Community Grant until the acquittal form is completed and returned.
