In the Derwent Valley, there are countless organisations and groups, both large and small, that rely on the hard work and dedication of volunteers to achieve their goals. Council acknowledges the invaluable contribution of the many local volunteers in the Derwent Valley and appreciates the work they do supporting our community. And it’s not just about the work - it’s about the connections that are formed, the friendships that are made, and the sense of belonging that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself. If you’re looking to volunteer, there are a range of volunteer roles available, whether your interest is in sports, education, environment and conservation, caring for our elderly or our young, contributing to the arts and heritage, working with animals, or as part of a charity, there are volunteering options for you.
