To reduce the number of face-to-face interactions with the community and protect our staff and their ability to carry out ongoing essential services, the Derwent Valley Council Offices are open to the public from 10am - 4pm from Monday 24 August for essential visits only.

Council operating hours are still 8.15am – 5pm (Mon - Fri) and Council services can be accessed over the phone, by email or via our website. We encourage all enquiries by phone or email where possible.

Calendar of Events Conditions

  1. The Derwent Valley Council does not accept responsibility for any inaccuracies, changes, errors, omissions or any misconceptions that may occur in the Calendar of Events and other related publications;
  2. It is at the discretion of the Derwent Valley Council to determine the information and/or images that will appear in the Calendar of Events and related publications;
  3. Events should meet the following criteria to be listed under Council's Calendar of Events:-

  • Event is held within the Council municipality

  • Event is open to the public

  • Event has a tourism or community participation focus

  • Event offers noteworthy benefit for the tourism industry and local community

  • Event does not involve any illegal activity

  • Event is a "one off" event and not an on going activity
