Tenders and contracts

Council issues all public tenders through an electronic system, Tenderlink, which enables you to view current tenders and freely download associated documents.

You will be required to register your details before you can browse current tenders, download tender documents, and make a submission. This is required in order for Council to contact suppliers about changes to tenders and quotations, should the need arise. Registration is also required in order to upload a tender response.

Council issues invitations for tenders in line with the requirements of Local Government (General) Regulations 2015. Tenders will remain open for a period of at least 21 days and are accompanied by Conditions of Tendering available for download with each tender on Tenderlink.

FREE SUPPLIER REGISTRATION

Prospective suppliers are encouraged to register on Tenderlink early to ensure that they are made aware and can access tender opportunities immediately upon release.

Registered suppliers can:

  • Apply for Tenders for free – no subscription required
  • Download and view any associated documentation
  • Participate in Q&A forums
  • Submit electronic bid responses through our secure, e-tender box facility.

Launch Tenderlink to register or view Derwent Valley Council's current tenders.

COUNCIL'S CODE FOR TENDERS AND CONTRACTS

The purpose of Council's Code for Tenders and Contracts (Code), is to provide a policy framework on best practice tendering and procurement methods in line with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993 (the Act) and the Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 (Regulations).

The Act and Regulations require the Council to invite tenders for any contract it intends to enter into for the supply or provision of goods or services valued at or above the Prescribed Amount. For purchases under the Prescribed Amount alternate procurement processes will apply.
