Glengrey House

Glengrey House is a social group day respite centre for adults living in the Derwent Valley area, run by Community Based Support.  It operates Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3.30pm.

Glengrey House operates like a social club, providing a safe and fun place for people to connect with each other and their community.  There are a range of activities on offer at the house including bus outings as well as learning new skills and rediscovering old ones.  The program changes each month and is developed by the attendees, ensuring that everyone has a say.

Can I attend?

The group is open to younger people with disability as well as frail older people.  To find out if you are eligible, please call Tanya Smith or Leah at Community Based Support on 03 6208 6600.

How much does it cost?

It usually costs $7.00 to attend the group and this includes a home cooked meal, morning and afternoon tea and the activity taking place on any given day.

If you would like to try the service before you decide, you can come along for a day for free!

If you require transport, we can offer you door to door transport on our mini bus for an additional $7.00 for each day you attend.
