Hydro Tasmania Community Information Session - 18 Nov 2018

Australia’s electricity market is changing and there is a growing need for reliable, responsive electricity generation.  Hydro Tasmania is currently looking at how the Tarraleah hydropower scheme – one of the state’s oldest schemes - could be reimagined to deliver more renewable energy, more flexibly in the future.

Enhancing Hydro Tasmania’s existing hydropower generation is a key part of the Battery of the Nation initiative.

Hydro Tasmania is committed to keeping communities informed about the work they are doing and is inviting residents to information sessions being held in Bothwell in November.

Residents are encouraged to catch the team at Highlands Bushfest on Sunday 18 November 2018 – there will be an information stall and a community information session. This is your chance to learn more about the options being considered for the Tarraleah hydropower scheme as part of a feasibility study, ask questions and talk with the project team.

For those who can’t attend the sessions, there is more information on the Hydro Tasmania website.
